Deseret News All State Recognition – Tierra
Schaffer
Local player Tierra Schaffer has been with Infinity Soccer from the start. She has
always been fiesty, physical and liked by her teammates and coaches.
Tierra, a Jr. at SkyView High School anchored the back line this Fall.
The Bobcats needed a gritty player to replace Danica Hansen (Infinity
SC Alumni playing at Iowa Western Community College).
In the Herrald Journal, Bobcats Head
Coach, Doyle Geddes acknowledged that Schaffer was the perfect fit or
them.
“She’s just the perfect player in the perfect spot,” SV head coach
Doyle Geddes said. “She is just a born stopper, somebody that’s just
got a lot of grit and attitude, and then the physical gifts to play
that particular spot on the field. And she was essential to our success
because she knew how to keep the ball in front of her, and she knew how
to read balls and win them, so she was just difficult to get by.”
Tierrea is a brilliant example of how Infinity SC players (56 in total) are making a positive
impact the local high school programs. We want to thank
Tierra for her hard work, focus and example to future Infinity SC
players.
Tierra plays on the Infinity SC u17 Premier Girls team under
the direction of Coach Travis Baxter.
