Utah Youth Soccer's President's Cup2013 Region #1 President's Cup Results
Updated 2/19/2013
By: Gary Wiser

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams who are seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to the national levels of US Youth Soccer.

We had twenty three (23) teams from Region #1 travel to Mesquite, NV to participate in UYSA's 2013 Presidents Cup state tournament where they achieved some great results.  The tournament was divided into two periods with the U14-U17s competing in January (the 18-21st) and the U9-U13s finishing it up over the President's Holiday weekend (February 15th-18th).

Congratulations go out to Aggies FC '04-DC a U9 Boys team from North Logan coached by Dan Cox, the Valley Blast - Crush a U14 Girls team from Logan, coached by Toni Doney and the Gold U14 Boy's Box Elder United team coached by Jorge Cruz for their UYSA President's Cup Championships!

Good Luck to the Valley Blast girls and the B.E. U14 Gold boys in their quest for a national title!

As tournament champions in the U13-U17 age categories the Valley Blast  girls and BE United boys are now qualified to play in the US Youth Soccer President's Cup Regional tournament in Bosie Idaho on June 11-16th, where they will compete against the other Region #4 state qualifiers from the following state associations:
  • Alaska
  • Arizona
  • Cal North
  • Cal South
  • Colorado
  • Hawaii
  • Idaho
  • Montana
  • Nevada
  • New Mexico
  • Oregon
  • Utah
  • Washington
  • Wyoming
The Regional Presidents Cup events determine the regional qualifiers who will compete in the US Youth National Presidents Cup where the regional winners in the U13 through U17 groups, both boys and girls, will vie for the national title.  The 2013 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup will be held in Auburndale, Florida on July 10-14.
